Planners built with the Apple Shortcuts add-on carry small chips on their pages. Each chip runs a shortcut by name and hands it your date and context, so what you write becomes an action without retyping. Install each shortcut once on the iPad or iPhone you plan on, and every chip in your file works from then on.

- 1Open each install link on the iPad or iPhone you plan on. The Shortcuts app asks once; add the shortcut.
- 2Open your planner in your PDF app, the way you always do.
- 3Tap any chip. The shortcut runs with your page's own date and context.
Shortcuts are an Apple feature, so the chips need an iPhone or iPad with the Shortcuts app. On any other device the planner is simply a planner: every page and link still works.
