How to add digital stickers to GoodNotes

Digital stickers come two ways: as separate PNG images with transparent backgrounds, or as PDF sheets with many stickers on one page. GoodNotes handles both. First, unzip the download in the Files app on your iPad by tapping the ZIP once.

Add a PNG sticker with the Image tool

1. 1In GoodNotes, open your planner page and tap the Image tool (the photo icon) in the toolbar.
2. 2Pick the sticker, and it drops onto your page.
3. 3Drag the corners to size it and drag the middle to place it. Tap outside when it sits right.

Keep favourites in the Elements tray

1. 1Select a sticker already on a page with the Lasso tool.
2. 2Tap the selection and choose Add Element.
3. 3It now lives in your Elements tray: one tap puts it on any page, in any notebook.

Elements can hold whole layouts too: a decorated header you reuse every week, or a set of habit icons.

Use a PDF sticker sheet

1. 1Import the sheet into GoodNotes as its own document, next to your planner.
2. 2On the sheet, pick the Lasso, circle the sticker you want, tap the selection and choose Copy.
3. 3Switch to your planner page, long-press where you want it and choose Paste. Resize with the corners.
4. 4For many stickers at once, open the sheet and the planner side by side in Split View and drag stickers straight across.

Keep the file quick

Every sticker is an image in your notebook, so hundreds of large ones will make a planner heavier to open and sync. Place stickers at the size you want them rather than huge and scaled down, and keep the ones you reuse in Elements rather than pasting new copies.
